OVERVIEW
Vagusonar-Therapy
The vagusonar idea as vocal therapy
The vagusonar voice approach primarily aims to focus on vocal therapy, which is rarely represented, as part of all established body-therapeutic applications.
By means of basic sound exercises and explanations of the interaction of the cranio-caudal axis – and consequently the inclusion of the regions below the diaphragm – the body’s automatisms are made tangible.
These processes are directly reflected in the parasympathetic-sympathetic interplay within the ANS scale. The result is stable, room-filling tones of tonal intensity, which are often referred to as a "classical" or "supported" voice. This type of vocal and linguistic development is usually only used as a specialization by professional singers and speakers but is hardly accepted in the wide range of therapy forms practiced.
In contrast to the usual vowel onset , in the vagusonar application the sound waves created during the vowel inset are extended to the most peripheral parts of the body by means of reflex-like and subtly corresponding body energies.
As an additional effect, the vagus nerve is also innervated, calmed and strengthened along its entire length and width. The inner space created during this process creates a perfect acoustic space that not only creates a voluminous, powerful voice, but can also spontaneously and audibly lead to more confidence and self-esteem.
Within all existing forms of therapy that integrate the vagusonar approach, it is true that – due to the acoustically improved sound reflection – the voice result functions as a perfect seismograph for mental, spiritual and physical well-being.
And this applies to therapists and clients!
The holistic, vagusonar-voice has existed since the beginning of life as a natural reflex for everyone – but is shunned by most people. Vagusonar-Therapy helps to develop it without vocal judgment.
